Sorry we're a few days late on our October Update. We needed to get a few things finalized and wanted to give the most up to date information possible.
DoubleFlex Black
Our first container of DoubleFlex Black has shipped to the US from our factory in Taiwan!
The DoubleFlex Black is officially en route to our fulfillment partners in the US and Taiwan. We are still on track for delivery to begin in November. We can't wait for you to try out this revolutionary fitness device!
Check your Address in the Backer Survey
With fulfillment starting in a few weeks for the DoubleFlex Black, please double check your address in the Backer Survey.
If it's been awhile since you filled out your Survey and aren't sure where it is... you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page.
Remember, you won't receive your survey until 14 days after you place your order due to Indiegogo's refund policy.
DoubleFlex PRO Production Update
For the DoubleFlex PRO users, we have some unfortunate news: our estimated production schedule has slipped 2-3 months. About six weeks ago, we began to have firmware development issues (custom firmware is in the chips on the printed circuit board within the DoubleFlex Pro, it controls and communicates to the App). Our firmware developer ran into some bugs and crashing issues; programming and debugging tends to take a long while to figure out what's wrong, so we didn't want to communicate anything until we had a concrete solution.
The firmware issues have been fully fixed so we're now back on track with testing, certifications and moving forward with production. All the parts have been produced except the electronics and printed circuit boards.
We feel terrible about this delay on the Pro. Our international team has been working overtime to solve the many issues faced when developing electronics, firmware and software concurrently. OYO has invested over $200,000 into the Pro development and OYO Coaching App to date.
Our plan is now to be able to ship to you in March. We'll keep you updated.
OYO Coaching App
The OYO Coaching App is coming along great! In the next few weeks we'll be shooting the videos that will make up the workouts and we still plan to have the app available by the end of the year!

Kickstarter Live!

PRODUCTION STARTED TODAY ON DOUBLEFLEX BLACK!
Just a few weeks ago Paul (CEO) & Larry (Engineer) were at our factory in Taiwan to review the Pilot Production Run and test final samples.
Today, we are pleased to announce that production for the DoubleFlex Black has officially started! The first container of thousands of units ships to the US in October and arrives at our warehouse in early November for shipment to backers. Some backers in Asia will be shipped directly from our factory in Taiwan in early November.

Delivery Update — We're on Schedule!
Not much to report here, just wanted to tell everyone we're on schedule for delivery of the DoubleFlex Black in November and the DoubleFlex PRO in December.
Paul is in Taiwan (and headed to Japan!)
Paul, our CEO, and Larry, Director of Engineering at OYO Fitness, are currently in Taiwan for the Pilot Production Run. They're visiting all our vendors, including injection molding, electronics, packaging and assembly. They will ensure the DoubleFlex is manufactured and performs to our standards. Paul will then be stopping over for a few days of meetings with our future distributor in Japan.
We'll be sure to share plenty of photos from the trip!
OYO Coaching App is Coming Together!
We are loving working with the FS Studio team in San Francisco on the development of our OYO Coaching App. A lot of the work so far as been on backend development, but they've recently been able to share some initial wireframes of the layout. Not quite as fun as a full mockup, but exciting to see a concept of how the structure may work.
Also, Nick Bolton, our Director of Fitness, is designing innovative and fun workouts that leverage our SpiraFlex and DoubleFlex technology.

It's fun to see the DoubleFlex PRO begin to come to life. Here's a shot of the Pro electronics and a list of our prototypes speaking in BLE. We have installed the prototype electronics in the off tool Black production samples and they are working to spec.

We're going to send another update next week regarding our general progress, but we want to focus this update on the Backer Survey.
Just so you know: we are still on track to deliver the DoubleFlex Black in November and the Black PRO in December.
Backer Survey:
We've been working with the great team at BackerKit to get our Backer Survey finalized! The survey will come to you via a separate email later today or Monday.
Here's a couple notes:

Timing — Please respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information for fulfilling your rewards.

BackerKit Account — You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey, just click on the survey link, fill it out, and you’re good to go! You will be able to answer questions about your rewards preferences, provide shipping information, and pledge for more “add-ons”. You do not have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

Change Later or Review Answers — If you decide later that you want to edit your survey response, you can go back to your survey and change it any time before we lock down the surveys for processing.

The OYO Fitness team is working around the clock to deliver the DoubleFlex Black and Pro models to you. Here's the latest news.
Production Schedule:
First things first, we are on track to hit our revised delivery timeline of the DoubleFlex Black shipping in November and the Black PRO in December.
The photo above shows the latest production sample and packaging.
We were met with such support & understanding with our last update with revised delivery schedule. It means the world to us that you continue to believe in the OYO Team and the DoubleFlex Black and Black PRO. Thank you!
Upgraded FlexPack Teeth:
Here's the upgraded FlexPack design that we have now successfully life-cycled. You can see the difference between the new DoubleFlex Black FlexPack teeth and the previous version's teeth. Not only are they structurally larger and reinforced, but we're using a 30% Glass-Filled Nylon engineering resin to make sure they hold up to your intense workouts for years to come.

Coaching App & Black PRO Development:
Earlier this month, I traveled to San Francisco to meet with our app developer, FS Studio, for a few days. We're really excited about the workouts and coaching features Nick and team are developing for the app.
You will be able to stream many types of workouts on the app with the Black and the Pro model will enable more precise tracking and real time coaching.
