SHIPPING UPDATE

Let me bring you up to date with the development, production and delivery of the DoubleFlex Black and Pro.
Our engineering team has been life cycling production samples. The DoubleFlex unit was performing to our specifications, however, the 10 lb. rated FlexPack teeth that connect to the unit were failing due to material fatigue. We re-engineered the teeth and upgraded the material to a high strength fiberglass-reinforced nylon. Samples of these revisions are meeting our standards. The 5 lb. FlexPack has also been upgraded.
I am now confident that the DoubleFlex Black and Pro will meet the standards of the other fitness products I have developed, including NASA’s Resistive Exercise Device and the Bowflex Revolution.
Due to the time needed to revise the molds and life-cycle, we are revising our estimated shipment dates. I apologize and take full responsibility for this delay. I would rather delay than ship a product that is not the very best!
Shipping Timeline:
DoubleFlex Black:
- October — Ship from our factory to backers nearby in Asia.
- November — Units will arrive at our USA warehouse in late October; we will fulfill the remaining orders in November.
DoubleFlex Black PRO:
We’ll only have a short delay on the Pro.
- November — Ship from our factory to backers nearby in Asia.
- December — Units will arrive at our USA warehouse in late November; we will fulfill the remaining Pro orders in December.
The OYO team and our manufacturers are working non-stop to meet this schedule.

When we interviewed customers, we discovered that a major motivation for purchasing the DoubleFlex Black was the ability to workout while traveling. You'll now have this eBook as a resource!

What Happened last Month:

Last week we received Off Tool Production Samples complete with finished texture, graphics and custom black colors. Of course we found a few issues that needed to be fixed, but it was amazing to hold and feel the smooth resistance of the very first DoubleFlex Black units in our hands!

We also spent a day reshooting the workout DVD, which will be included with the DoubleFlex.

Development of the OYO Coaching App & DoubleFlex Black PRO
Our team has grown to include an Electrical Engineer and Firmware Programmer! They're finalizing the design of the circuitry and sensors, and beginning to work on the BLE connectivity to the app. It's incredibly exciting bringing the connected DoubleFlex Black PRO to life.
Fulfillment Timing Update
One of the most common questions we receive is whether we'll hit our original estimated shipment dates of June for the DoubleFlex Black and October for the Black PRO.
We estimate our first production run will be done in late June and we'll begin fulfillment of the DoubleFlex Black direct from our Taiwan factory to Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand. At that same time the first 40' container will load onto a ship for our warehouse in Wisconsin about a month later. Our best estimate is shipping the DoubleFlex Black to the rest of the backers (North American and rest of the world) in late July.
The DoubleFlex Black PRO is still scheduled for October delivery.
OYO apologizes for the shipment delay on the DoubleFlex Black. We want to deliver the best product experience possible and will not cut corners.

What a month and a half it's been since our record setting Kickstarter campaign ended & we started on Indiegogo InDemand. The DoubleFlex Black was the second most funded fitness product ever on Kickstarter & our community has continued to grow on Indiegogo the last 6 weeks. THANK YOU so much for all your support.

Paul went to Puerto Rico for an international distributor conference and Los Angeles for the IHRSA Trade Show with industry leaders to develop strategic partnerships with health clubs for DoubleFlex group fitness programs.
Paul at IHRSA with Linda Shelton. Linda is one of the innovators in the Group Exercise industry developing many programs including Zumba Fitness; she has collaborated with OYO Fitness on a yet unreleased study on the DoubleFlex Silver.
